Question: Do people really get paid for online surveys?

I'm curious I just started doing a few surveys more than one and I wanted to know if they work and how fast could they come? I'm a student a new mom and would love to make a lil money to keep in my pockets for my daughter just in case I need something for her.

They do work, but there's usually a catch and you have to do them certain ways.

Yes... if you think that getting $1 for an hours worth of work is 'getting paid' Most are scams that use the information you provide so you can get paid against you and send scam artists your way and sell your personal information

Btw congrats on your new baby and being a student too. Must be hard! I've done some online service but it's with a big ticket company from Australia. I only redeem them for vouchers and I only get $3/ survey. It's a bit time consuming. It seems like there are SOME survey you can do but most looks like scam anyway. If you have a bit of time you can even try online affiliate marketing, where you sell products online and get commission per sale. You can do this by making websites, blogs and using affiliate links on your sites.

Your time is better spent doing something else. The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys. Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month. Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame). Any site promising you thousands a month is a scam yes. But you can definitely make a couple hundred bucks a month with some work! I make about $200 a month online and I blog about how I do it. I have payment proofs on my site too so you can see who really pays. moneyin20s.blogspot.com Good luck!

Yes there are some websites which give out $500-$1000 walmart gift cards for free as long as you answer the surveys. I believe you can get things for your daughter in this way as well.

Yes they do pay however you have to work all the surveys they send you and you will not qualify for every one of them. The average online survey pays between 50 cents to 5$ and they range from 5 minutes to 60 minutes to complete them. While this might not sound like a lot of money at first if you work them while doing another task then it is an extra dollar an hour. I have been doing them for well over 5 years now and yes I get paid each and every month. The key is signing up with as many companies as you can. Hope this helps.
